The brief called for a promo highlighting Architectural Digest’s FAST channel, but I saw a bigger opportunity - to create a versatile programming reel that could flex across multiple lines of business. So that’s exactly what we did.
Because this asset would live across AD’s channels, the creative direction had to hit on what their audience loves most. For AD, that means exclusive access into the homes of the world’s biggest celebrities, so we made sure to keep that front and center. But AD isn’t just celebrity; it’s the authority on design and architecture. So we balanced star power with visually stunning, design-forward content that reflected the brand’s sophistication and depth.
We pulled in signature AD editing techniques to keep it feeling true to their programming and designed a graphic framing device that gave on-screen text a home within the visuals, enhancing the storytelling without taking away from the imagery. The end result? A cohesive, elevated piece that looked and felt undeniably AD.
What started as a sizzle for a FAST channel quickly became an evergreen workhorse. Its flexible format meant we could push it across all lines of business including social channels and newsletters. A highlight was receiving an email from the head of AD’s programming saying “THIS is exactly what we needed!”
